Ring lost on Bibione beach: found in a few minutes
Bibione, a crowded beach in high summer. A ring disappears in the dry sand during a day at the sea. A few minutes on site: signal, controlled dig, ring back on the finger.

What happened
Dry sand walked over by dozens of people is the worst place to lose a ring: one movement and it sinks a few centimetres, invisible to the eye. Here the area was still small, because the loss was noticed straight away.
How we searched
We marked out the area covered in the last few minutes and swept the sand in parallel strips with the metal detector, separating the gold signal from caps, coins and ring pulls that fill busy beaches. Recovery is done with a sand scoop, leaving the beach as we found it.
The find
The good signal came quickly: ring recovered, sand put back, handed straight to the owner. The photo is that moment, with the ring back on his finger.
What to do if it happens in Bibione
Do not rake and do not walk on the area: every step pushes the item deeper. Fix the spot with a landmark — umbrella, towel, sunbed — and message us on WhatsApp. We cover Bibione, Bibione Pineda, Lido dei Pini and the whole coastline.
Note
Recovery carried out in summer 2020 by the volunteers who later founded ASD Viandanti Moderni MTD Friûl, formally established in 2026 (RASD/CONI no. 31102891).
Frequently asked questions
How do you find a ring lost in the sand in Bibione?+
Secure the area at once and keep off it. With a metal detector dry sand is swept in a grid and the item is lifted with a sand scoop, without random digging.
How long does a beach search take?+
If the spot is small and you call immediately, a few minutes is often enough. The more time passes and the more people walk over it, the wider the search gets.
Do you come out in high season with a full beach?+
Yes. We work between umbrellas and sunbathers without disturbing anyone: we define the useful area and search only that.
