Wedding ring lost in Bibione at Camping Village Capalonga: found on the grass in 20 minutes
12 August 2020, Bibione Pineda. A wedding ring disappears at Camping Village Capalonga, somewhere on the grass between the campsite and the sea: a call during the day, a metal detector search, and the ring is back on its owner's finger in 20 minutes.
What happened
Camping Village Capalonga sits in Bibione Pineda, between the sea and the lagoon: pitches under the pines, grass, sand and constant foot traffic. The ring slipped off unnoticed while the owner was walking across the grass from the campsite toward the sea; by the time she noticed, the exact spot was only a guess.
How we searched
We reconstructed her walking route from the campsite to the beach, across the grass, and turned that into a map of search areas, from most to least likely. Then parallel-strip sweeping with a metal detector, discriminating scrap metal — caps, ring pulls, coins — from the faint gold signal.
The find
The ring was back on her finger in 20 minutes, on the strip of grass between the campsite and the sea. The photo shows that exact moment: her husband's hand over hers, the ring where it belongs.
